The integration is launching as a controlled beta, initially available to five select businesses. General availability is expected to follow the beta phase, with Duplo’s sales teams actively identifying eligible customers to participate.

What the Integration Does


The Duplo–Xero integration bridges the gap between payments and accounting, eliminating the manual reconciliation work that finance teams across South Africa currently perform. Once connected, the two platforms stay in continuous sync, ensuring that every transaction, approval, and payment status recorded in Duplo is immediately reflected in a business’s Xero accounting environment.

Key capabilities of the integration include:

• Chart of Accounts Sync: Duplo automatically maps and syncs the chart of accounts from Xero, ensuring all expense categories, ledger codes, and account classifications remain consistent across both platforms without manual entry.

• Supplier Management: Supplier records created or updated in either Duplo or Xero are reflected in real time across both systems, maintaining a single source of truth for vendor data.

• Expense Tracking: Business expenses logged in Duplo are pushed directly to Xero, complete with correct categorisation, eliminating double entry and reducing the risk of reconciliation errors.

• Approval Workflows: Duplo’s approval workflows, including multi-level authorizations, are synchronized with Xero, ensuring finance teams maintain full audit trails and compliance without toggling between tools.

• Payment Status Updates: Real-time payment status updates flow between Duplo and Xero, giving finance leaders instant visibility into outstanding, processing, and completed payments directly within their accounting records.

• User-Configurable Sync Settings: Businesses retain full control over what syncs and when. All integration settings are configurable by the user, enabling finance teams to tailor the integration to their specific operational workflows.
